the adp220 is a low cost, general purpose, fully automatic polarimeter suitable for measuring the rotation of optically active samples across a wide range of laboratory applications. operation is simple with touch-of-a-button control for automatic read, print, scale change and zero setting.  

a fixed temperature probe monitors the temperature of the sample chamber and a second probe is provided for direct sample temperature monitoring. water jacketed tubes can be used for precise temperature control. 

the instrument has high reliability, precision and reproducibility. it is widely applicable for the fields such as food, beverage, medicine, chemistry etc.

1.  both angular degree and international sugar (iss) scales are se-lectable. measuring time is adjustable（30s—5s）. results are displayed digitally and can be printed directly or sent to a computer.

2. polarimeter tubes up to 220mm in length can be used. the exterior power supply means low heat generation within the instrument and hence rapid stabilisation. a fixed temperature probe monitors the temperature of the sample chamber and a second probe is provided for direct sample temperature monitoring. water jacketed tubes can be used for precise temperature control.

3. in certain applications, the adp220 can be used with a funnel flow tube, allowing the previously measured sample to be flushed away with a new sample, eliminating the need to clean the tube regularly between each sample. in order to achieve this, an optional "slotted lid" is required for either 200mm or 100mm tube lengths.

ads220 digital automatic saccharimeter

features:

the ads220 is a saccharimeter, which means it is designed and optimised for the measurement of sugar solutions. in addition to the iss (z) scale, it has the standard angular scale but not with the se-lectable range feature of the adp220. on the z scale the ads220 has a higher measuring accuracy that the adp220.

an important feature is the "purity" mode. in this mode the instrument can display directly the purity of the measured sample. the equation used is flexible allowing the user to enter the required constants (multipliers). brix values for the test sample can either be entered manually or the ads220 can be coupled directly to an rfm refractometer with the reading being transmitted via the rs 232 interface. the resulting purity is displayed on the ads220.

the ads220 can be fitted with a "slotted" lid, designed to accept funnel flow-through tubes that are often preferred in sugar testing laboratories.
