介紹： 溶于水、乙醇。溶液為橙黃色帶綠色熒光。pH值為8·4～10·4則無熒光。能鑲嵌于兩個相鄰的堿基對之間，使部分雙螺旋DNA松開，該兩個堿基對的距離拉大一倍。這樣的DNA復制過程中，會使DNA鏈增加或缺失一個堿基，造成移碼突變。Colour Index Number 46005"
