MitoSciences was founded in 2004 by Dr. Roderick Capaldi ａnd Dr. Michael Marusich with the mission of advancing mitochondrial research, ａnd in particular, efforts to understand the role of the organelle in human diseases.
The Company has produced ａnd continues to add to the world＇s largest collection of anti-mitochondrial monoclonal antibodies. These antibodies are being sold for life sciences research, developed into kits for drug discovery ａnd drug toxicity studies, as well as being developed into tools for the diagnosis of the many mitochondrial-related diseases ａnd for diagnosing mitochondrial toxicity from HAART.
The Company currently employs over 30 scientists, technicians, ａnd administrative staff in its 7,000+ sq. ft. laboratory, cell culture, ａnd office facilities adjacent to the University of Oregon.
