世界首臺(tái)采用低溫檢測(cè)器的商用質(zhì)譜儀面世

Whereas conventional mass spectrometers have very limited sensitivity for molecular masses beyond 15’000 Dalton our new, patented macromizer has unchallenged sensitivity for macromolecular analyses up to megadaltons.
The principle of this innovation is based on cryogenic STJ (Superconductive Tunneling Junction) detectors that have mass independent single molecule detection sensitivity.
Such new mass spectrometers are needed in the fast growing fields of biotechnology, genomics, proteomics and life science analytics for identification, quantification & analysis of macro molecules.
The first instrument was delivered to our beta test site on March 2003.
