Function
Enzyme with a broad specificity. Negatively regulates TGF-beta signaling through dephosphorylating SMAD2 ａnd SMAD3, resulting in their dissociation from SMAD4, nuclear export of the SMADs ａnd termination of the TGF-beta-mediated signaling
Tissue Specificity This PPM1A antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding S375 of human PPM1A.

    Western blot analysis of PPM1A (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal PPM1A-pS . 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the PPM1A gene (Lane 2).

    Formalin-fixed ａnd paraffin-embedded human colon carcinoma tissue reacted with the PPM1A-pS, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
