一般描述
GranuCult® plus WL (Wallerstein Laboratories) Nutrient Agar has a pH of 5.5, which is optimal for the enumeration of brewers′ yeast. If bakers′ or distillers′ yeast is to be examined, the pH should be adjusted to 6.5 (better yields). When cultivating microorganisms from an alcoholic mash, tomato juice should be added to the medium. WL differential agar contains cycloheximide to suppress yeasts ａnd any molds that may be present; this medium allows reliable counting of all bacteria that may be encountered in the tests performed in brewery laboratories.
