一般描述
Polymyxin acriflavine lithium chloride ceftazidime aesculin mannitol (PALCAM) Listeria Selective Agar is a selective medium. Selectivity is attained mainly by the inhibitory components like lithium chloride, acriflavine, polymyxin ａnd ceftazidime. Two indicator systems confer its diagnostic properties: aesculin ａnd ferric iron ａnd D-mannitol combined with phenol red. This aids in easy differentiation of Listeria spp. from enterococci ａnd staphylococci.[1]

for differential diagnosis, for the isolation ａnd detection of Listeria monocytogenes from fecal ａnd biological material, food ａnd heavily contaminated environmental specimens.
制備說明
Dissolve 68.8 g in 1 litre distilled water. Sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes. Cool down to 50°C ａnd add the dissolved contents of 2 vials PALCAM Listeria Selective Supplement (Cat. No. 02336). The completed broth may appear hazy due to starch.
