Developed by the SDC Enterprises in 2014, SLW has 5 fibre components common with SDC DW, but includes the addition of Regenerated Cellulose (RC) ａnd Silk. The regenerated cellulose component provides an optimum level of staining to accurately predict the staining performance of the principal types of regenerated cellulose (Lyocell, Modal ａnd Viscose), ａnd their blends, used in general apparel. Whilst the silk component allows the assessment of staining on silk apparel ａnd lingerie, ａnd blends containing silk.

It is produced with a narrow weave construction ａnd contains the following components, Silk, Regenerated cellulose, Cotton, Nylon, Polyester, Acetate ａnd Wool. Multifibre SLW undergoes a rigorous quality control procedure conducted by independent UKAS accredited labs. The testing includes the individual yarns prior to construction ａnd further tests on the finished product. The Multifibre is required to pass these tests before each new batch is considered fit for sale.
