物理性質(zhì):
PARAFILM 封口膜 是半透明的,有柔性的，熱塑性塑料, 高性能防水材料，本身為無色，無嗅，無味，厚度僅 0.005 ″（0.127mm）。
Parafilm M＇＇s 的獨特特性使它適用于許多重要實驗和技術(shù)方面的理想工具，它緊緊而且自動密閉的形成在試管,細(xì)頸瓶，各種不規(guī)則工具和物體的表面。
它對于濕氣蒸汽、濕氣損失、濕氣吸收以及滲透氣體具有高度的低靈敏度，這個特性也是它成為流動池中理想的覆蓋工具。

 注意：滲透比例是在0℃和760mm大氣壓的條件下測定的。
 
水蒸氣：

   注意: 由于材料本身對水蒸氣的低滲透性和低敏感性，所以相對于氧氣或者二氧化碳的滲透性，這兩者在濕度方面有本質(zhì)的不同。
受普通試劑的影響：
   濃鹽酸（12N）稀釋到（5N）,在24小時內(nèi)不會有明顯影響
   濃硫酸（36N）稀釋到（5N）,在24小時內(nèi)不會有明顯影響
   濃硝酸（22%）,在24小時內(nèi)不會有明顯影響
   濃氫氧化鈉（28%）,在24小時內(nèi)不會有明顯影響
   高錳酸鉀：5%，非長期性，在棕色環(huán)境內(nèi)18個小時無明顯影響
1%，效果同上排除在淺色環(huán)境內(nèi)
   碘溶液，0.1N：在棕色環(huán)境內(nèi)18個小時無明顯影響
   氯化鈉20%, 在24小時內(nèi)不會有明顯影響
四氯化碳/氯仿/乙醚：接觸后開始溶解
乙酸 95%，在24小時內(nèi)不會有明顯影響，排除部分變白
異丙醇99%，在24小時內(nèi)不會有明顯影響
在超過54度到68度之間封口膜開始變軟和粘稠。

? Ammonium hydroxide conc. （28% NH3） - no apparent effect in 24 hours
? Potassium permanganate:
  5%: no apparent effect except permanent dark brown coloration in 18 hours
  0.1%: same as 5% but slightly less color
Iodine solution 0.1N: no effect except brown staining in 18 hours
? Salt （NACL） solution 20%: no apparent effect in 24 hours
? Ethyl Alcohol 95%: no apparent effect except some face whitening in 24 hours
? Isopropyl alcohol 99%: no apparent effect in 24 hours
? Not recommended for use with chorinated, non-polar aliphaticaromatic solvents

Film becomes softsticky at about 130°F to 150°F （68°C）
