網(wǎng)絡(luò)分析儀是在所關(guān)心的頻率范圍內(nèi)，通過(guò)激勵(lì)——響應(yīng)測(cè)試來(lái)建立線性網(wǎng)絡(luò)的傳輸與阻抗特性的數(shù)據(jù)模型的過(guò)程。
The 8720B Microwave Network Analyzer can characterize microwave components ａnd networks from 130MHz up to 20GHz. This vector network analyzer includes a fast-sweeping synthesized source, switching s-parameter test set, ａnd large full color display in a single integrated package. The unit has a dynamic range of 85 dB. The built-in test set measures all four s-parameters （both forward ａnd reverse） with a single connection. A step attenuator controls incident power level from -10 to -65 dBm in 5 dB steps, ａnd two internal tees provide bias to active devices through the test ports.
