IFN-γ

Interferon-γ (IFN-γ, also known as IFN-gamma, IFN-g, IFNg ａnd Interferon-gamma) is produced mainly by activated T cells ａnd NK cells. It is a proinflammatory cytokine that activates macrophages ａnd endothelial cells, but it also regulates immune responses by effecting APC ａnd T ａnd B cells. Production of IFN-γ by helper T cells as well as cytotoxic T cells is a hallmark of the TH1-type phenotype, thus, high-level production of IFN-γ is typically associated with effective host defense against intracellular pathogens.

ELISABASIC kit for quantification of IFN-γ in solution

The human IFN-γ ELISABASIC kit is ideal for users who want the flexibility of setting up their own ELISA assay. This product enables quantification of human IFN-γ in solution, e.g. in cell culture supernatant. The kit contains a matched pair of monoclonal capture ａnd detection antibodies, Streptavidin-HRP, ELISA standard ａnd standard reconstitution buffer. Plates ａnd substrate are not included.

Human IFN-γ ELISABASIC kits are also available with Streptavidin-ALP.

Serum/Plasma samples

Analysis of serum/plasma samples with this kit requires the use of ELISA diluent for dilution of the samples, standard ａnd detection antibody. The diluent prevents false positive read-outs which may be caused by interference of heterophilic antibodies found in serum ａnd plasma. The ELISA diluent is available from Mabtech.
